Is He the Right Guy for You?

In the world of dating, pretty much anything can happen.

That said you want to make sure any guys you go out with are on the up-and-up.

But how can you be sure or as close to sure that someone you are thinking about meeting is who they say they are?

Is He the Right Guy for You

Could they be only interested in you for the purposes of scamming you? What if they actually have a criminal record and could be bad news for you?

Although it can be tough at times to get to the bottom of things, your time and effort with research is important.

So, will you know whether he is the right guy for you?

Research and Learn More About Each Individual

If you are thinking of going out with a guy you came across either online or in-person, make sure you ask questions.

To start, once you have their full name, do a little online research to see what comes up.

Who knows, you might be searching to see if they have an arrest warrant.

In the event they do, that is more than likely going to change your mind about whether to go out with them or not.

When you discover they have a warrant, yet still think about going out on a date with them, will you confront him? Depending on what the warrant is for, you might still be willing to go on a date.

If you ask them about the warrant, their response could sway you one way or the other on the date. Someone may not know there is an arrest warrant out in their name. As such, they would not be lying to you if they said they were not aware of one.

The bottom line is what the warrant is all about.

If it is only for a traffic ticket or two, then it is not the end of the world. If for something much more serious, the time to move on for you is now.

Taking Personal Safety Seriously

Whether you meet a guy with a warrant or someone with no legal issues, be serious about your safety.

Among the practices to deploy:

  • Always have a first meeting in a public place.
  • Be sure to let a friend or family member know where you are going and about how long you might be there.
  • Don’t divulge personal info such as where you bank at and other pertinent financial details.
  • Be upfront about how the date went. If you feel like there is enough interest on your part to go out again, let them know. If you feel otherwise, don’t lead someone on. Remember, you wouldn’t want a guy doing that to you.

Last, don’t settle for someone only because you don’t want to be single the rest of your life.

As many women (and men for that matter) can tell you, settling does no one any good.

It is better to keep looking for the right guy. At some point, you are more than likely going to come across them.

In the meantime, take your time and enjoy the dates you have. You never know when it will all click.
