“If you put it all together, it looks like the North Koreans are building a rocket,” says North Korea expert Jeffrey Lewis.
In the US, satellite images have become public, which some experts suggest a forthcoming test of an ICBM or space rocket in North Korea in the near future. This was reported by the radio station NPR. On its website, the transmitter published the pictures.
The pictures show the Sanumdong site, a facility in which North Korea has previously tested ballistic missiles and rockets to launch satellites. You can also see trucks and train wagons.
“If you put it all together, it looks like the North Koreans are building a rocket,” the station quotes North Korea expert Jeffrey Lewis, director of the East Asia Nonproliferation Project at the Middlebury Institute for International Studies.
Only a few days ago, other satellite images had become public, suggesting that North Korea has rebuilt a rocket factory on the west coast. This had been partially reduced after the first summit between US President Donald Trump and North Korea’s ruler Kim Jong-un in June 2018.
