In Tulln, a 32-year-old has been stabbed on Monday afternoon. As a suspect, the 36-year-old husband of the victim was arrested, police said. Both are from Macedonia. According to information, there should have already been a warrant against the man.

The scene of the bloody deed occurred at the parking lot of a food market in the Lower Austrian district town, said police spokesman Heinz Holub on request. The woman was stabbed with an object in the neck area. The mother of two died on the spot. The murder weapon was a dagger. Which has been secured.

The attack on the 32-year-old was already the fourth lethal act of violence against a woman in Lower Austria this year. On January 8, a 40-year-old was stabbed to death in Amstetten, a day later a 50-year-old killed in the district of Wiener Neustadt-Land by a knife attack. On January 13, the body of a 16-year-old was discovered in a park in Wiener Neustadt. The death of the girl came, according to autopsy by suffocation.

The suspects in the three cases are also men. All are in custody.
