Deputy National Security Advisor Mira Ricardel had to leave the White House and get a new job in the government.
Following criticism from US First Lady Melania Trump, Deputy National Security Advisor Mira Ricardel has been relieved of her post. Ricardel will leave the White House and take on a new role in the government, spokeswoman for US President Donald Trump, Sarah Sanders, said on Wednesday.
Melania Trump had previously spoken publicly for Ricardel’s dismissal – for a president’s wife a very unusual approach. “It is the attitude of the First Lady’s office that she (Ricardel) no longer deserves the honor of serving in the White House,” said her spokeswoman Stephanie Grisham on Tuesday.
Ricardel is said to have clashed with First Lady employees during Melania Trump’s Africa trip in October, according to the Wall Street Journal. In addition, the representative of the National Security Advisor John Bolton is suspected of having spread some negative stories about the President’s wife.
