While speaking on the eve of Martin Luther King Jr. day, John Lewis told media that he doesn’t consider Donald Trump a legitimate elect president of United States of America and he would stay away from his inauguration ceremony. Further addition to this, he said it will be for the first time in last three decades that he would miss historical presidential inauguration.

Whereas along with Georgia Representative, John Lewis other Democratic lawmakers who have announced plans to skip the inauguration include Reps. Barbara Lee of California, Earl Blumenauer of Oregon, Katherine Clark of Massachusetts and Luis Gutierrez of Illinois. They cite an array of reasons, but have one at least one thing in common. All represent heavily Democratic districts.

Once again President-Elect Donald Trump dragged himself into a controversy by bashing human rights activist and Georgia Representative John Lewis on Saturday through his tweets.

While responding to John Lewis, President-Elect Donald Trump harshly tweeted that Congressman need to take care of his district and need to clear the mess from there. In these bad circumstances of his district, he has no right to question the legitimacy of elected president.

After this fued escalated, number of celebrities, Democrats and Republicans stand in support of John Lewis.

Evan McMullin tweeted: On this Martin Luther King Jr. weekend, let it be clear that John Lewis is an American patriot. Trump’s attacks on him further confirm it.

Bill Kristol Tweeted: It’s telling, I’m afraid, that Donald Trump treats Vladimir Putin with more respect than he does John Lewis.
